Jamie. HOw exciting--you are really there. I didn't realize that you were going so quickly. Who are the children you are standing with? How precious. I like how you easily posted these pictures. Did you have to get a special blog to add pictures? Just curious. I am excited to hear about your trip.
We kinda touched on this during Biblical studies actually today. Not this exact topic, but similar. I don't think that Jesus thought himself as a failure. He knew what was to happen. He knew that he was to represent God, and die for the wrecklesness of us unpure humans. As for everyone ditching him, he also knew that was to happen. He told the people that they will abandon him. One person stayed by his side (as I was taught today in Bib.) and she was a "sinner" she stood by him while everyone else left. I also was taught that God apears absent which is represented in the book of Psalms. I think this was a timing that God choose to remain silent. I don't really know though, I am kinda new to doing deep thoughts about Christianity...I miss you James! And can't wait to see you soonish..
You and all that you do amaze me. I hope you know how proud of you everyone is. You are making your journey be about something that is bigger than yourself and asking nothing of your offerings in return. Thank you for sharing your experience in DR with us. Your kindness makes me smile and brings me hope of the human heart.
